Country Inn Motel

The low price and the 24-minute drive to our work at the time were real pluses. The staff were polite and helpful when we asked for extra pillows and fresh linens, and the bed was okay for resting. The pillows were too flat for proper comfort, though, and could use more filling or a few extras. The room looked clean when we arrived, but the cleaning seemed rushed. I found an empty pop bottle, trail mix crumbs, and condom wrappers under the bed and beside the dresser and nightstand when my coins rolled there as I was changing for a shower. There were also long black hairs on the bedding and folded towels. I can't be sure where they came from, but they were all similar in color and length. Cobwebs on the closet shelf and ceiling, and dust or dirt missed behind and under furniture, added to the impression that the room needed a more thorough clean. I know I can be particular about things being tidy and sterilized, especially with germs being so easy to spread. The room could use some updating and refurbishing. There weren't any hangers in the closet for drying our wet jackets, and the fridge was ajar when we arrived. I shut it to save power and check it before putting our food in; it worked fine, so I think it may simply have been left open after cleaning. We wished there had been coffee and breakfast, though with the cleaning issues, eating elsewhere may have been for the best. I'm being honest rather than trying to be harsh. These things could be improved, and I'd consider staying again if they are. We appreciated the affordable rate.
