Stewart Inn

We were close to restaurants, a great winery, and a unique speakeasy lounge, and hearing about the local museum led us to add it to our Saturday plans. Randy also had some excellent restaurant recommendations. I’m already looking forward to staying at Stewart Inn again. The Sheldon Room had an amazing bed and linens, and the fireplace was a welcome extra with temperatures below zero that weekend. The B&B has so much character, with beautiful woodwork and original lighting. Randy was the best innkeeper, and Saturday’s breakfast was so good. Marie and Mike made another amazing meal Sunday. Both breakfasts felt gourmet, and the amenities were more than I expected. I’m glad we went to the Friday wine reception and got to talk with Randy and the other women staying at the Inn. I highly recommend this home.

Staying at the Stewart Inn feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. Randy and Sara are friendly and know a lot about good places to eat and what’s going on locally. The breakfasts were freshly made and absolutely delicious. I had the Sheldon Room this visit, with a private bathroom, a comfortable king bed, fireplace, two chairs, and a desk. Randy also shared the history of the house and similar homes nearby. The restoration is gorgeous, and the natural wood has a warm glow. It was a cozy, private, comfortable place in a central spot in Wausau. When I come back to visit my daughter, I’ll definitely stay at the Stewart Inn again.

We had a blast over breakfast with both returning guests and people visiting for the first time. Randy was welcoming and down to earth, with plenty of suggestions for food and things to do. Breakfast was delicious, and the house itself was astounding. Our room felt cozy and comfortable. We’ll be back in Wausau and at the Stewart Inn for sure. Tell Buster Brown we’ll bring treats next time.

Randy welcomes guests into the inn as if it were his own home. We’ll definitely be back. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and very clean, in a quaint neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Wausau. The architecture and history of the Stewart Inn have been beautifully preserved. At the delicious three-course breakfast he and his wife prepare each morning, Randy shares what he knows about the house. Our stay was incredible.
