The pool area could use some attention. The tile has no grip and was very slippery for adults and children, and there was no pool towel rack or bin for used towels. We chose this beautiful, supposedly 25-day-old hotel in April 2026 specifically for the pool. My husband and I were staying with our children, ages 4, 2, and 6 months. As lifetime platinum elite members from years of weekly work travel, we're used to certain amenities. Management said the pool was heated to 78°, while my Apple Watch read 80°. An outdoor pool might feel nice in summer heat, but that temperature was far too cold for our toddlers and baby indoors. The toddlers were shivering and had blue lips within 30 minutes, so we decided not to let the baby kick around in it.

The rooms were lovely, comfortable, and a good value. The location is good too, though I'd ask for a room away from the highway. We'll probably stay here whenever we're in Waxahachie.

I just watched the front desk employee yell at a guest who asked about checking in at 1:30 instead of 3. The guest said someone she'd called told her it might be possible. The employee yelled that she'd said she might be able to accommodate her, but had nothing, then shouted, “i SAID MIGHT!!!!!” I've never witnessed such verbal abuse from a front desk employee. She needs lessons in how to speak to customers. Yelling at a guest is completely inappropriate.

Cholee and Jami made us feel welcome and cared for at the Residence Inn in Waxahachie, Texas. They were warm, attentive, professional, and accommodating throughout the stay, and their customer service was remarkable. Check-in was easy and stress-free thanks to them. They're a real asset to the Residence Inn team. Thank you both for going above and beyond. Highly recommended!
