Baymont by Wyndham Waycross

This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. The room looked decades overdue for renovation, and we saw lots of cockroaches within our first ten minutes there, with even more at night. I wouldn’t have been surprised to find rats too. The employees were very rude and even cursed us out in their language. It may be the cheapest place around, but there’s clearly a reason. Just an old, stingy hotel.

I stay here often for work and plan to keep coming back. It’s quiet and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is satisfying. There’s even a small coffee pot in the room.

Breakfast had a nice selection, including waffles, cereal, bread, fruit, donuts, juice, and coffee. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location worked well for shopping and dining. The building needs remodeling inside and out, though, and it was noisy. People were fighting in the parking lot late at night.

Miss Linda Ryan, the general manager, was such a sweetheart. She gave me her card to get free breakfast and low rates, and the place also has a swimming pool, mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. I was impressed by her knowledge of Cuban food and the story behind the little town. I couldn’t believe how diverse Waycross, Georgia is. The rooms were spacious and clean, and you can tell management enjoys the job. Thanks again, Miss Linda, you’re a blessing!
