Quality Inn & Suites

The beds were clean and comfortable, but the rest was disgusting. In the first room, the beds looked like the sheets hadn't been changed, there was debris on the counters and tables, a towel on the bathroom floor, and the towel rod was on the floor. In the second room, snot was smeared on the wall and towels had been placed in front of it to hide it. The floors were filthy, with hair and black bits of debris sticking to my bare feet, and behind the bathroom door looked like it had never been cleaned. Expect to wash off the grime in the shower. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you plan to sleep in your shoes. At check-in we were told it wasn't until noon. The oversized lady at the desk took my number, put it by the front desk computer, then stayed in her office while we waited in the lobby from 10:30 until check-in. The pool isn't blue like the photo, just bare concrete, and the exterior is gross too. Sure lack of laziness.

We found roaches every day, and the wifi kept disconnecting before stopping altogether in our last couple days. The girl who checked us in wasn't friendly and seemed to have an attitude, though the manager was great. Nobody told us about the grab-and-go breakfast until our last few days. It would've been nice to know at check-in, even though it was only a fruit cup, danish, and bottled water. We had a do not disturb sign up, but every couple of days they knocked anyway after we'd asked them not to. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the water pressure was good. The parking lot was well lit. It was January and too cold to swim, but the pool clearly hadn't been used for quite a while.

The owners or cleaners came into the room while I was asleep around 8:36am, then again at 10:46am, 15 minutes before checkout, while I was showering. The man walked in and immediately left. We paid to stay until 11am, and I wasn't even dressed. When my significant other and I complained at the front desk, the manager said she wished she could do something, but they were the owners. There were missing smoke detectors, long black hairs twisted into the towels and bedding, and stains on the sheets, lampshades, and floors. It's a cheap hotel, but that doesn't excuse the lack of cleanliness. I don't expect luxurious new furniture, but this was unacceptable.

I felt really unsafe here. There's a bar inside, and the look of it and the people hanging around gave the hotel a sketchy feel, on top of the sketchy people staying there. The building had no signs identifying it as a Quality Inn, and nothing made the front entrance obvious. I had to circle around to find where to go in and still wasn't sure until I got inside. The room was poorly cleaned: toilet stains and marks on the light switches wiped off easily with tissues, the carpet just outside was wet, and there were a couple of bugs in the bathtub. The mirror and other things looked unfinished, adding to the gross feeling. The front desk lady last night was very nice and helpful, and that's the only reason I'm giving an extra star. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Stay away!
