Embassy Suites Philadelphia - Valley Forge Hotel

We come back at least twice a year, and the staff are the reason it feels like our go-to place. Morcos has taken extra care over time to put us in the part of the hotel we prefer and make sure we're comfortable. Brenda at reception is always welcoming, with a smile and a kind word, and the breakfast team and omelette chef help get the day off to a good start. It's an older property, but it's clean and well looked after. The rooms and shared spaces feel bright and airy, and the grounds are spacious and immaculate.

The location works really well, with a park nearby for a walk, and breakfast was okay. The rooms are roomy and quite clean, and the service was good, including a quick check-in and check-out. The gym is pretty dated and could use an upgrade.

The rooms themselves were nice, but this venue didn't work well for our small pottery convention. We had nine rooms taking part in room sales and were told they'd all be on one floor in a row. They were on the same floor, but ended up scattered around and hard to find. I wasn't keen on the banquet meal either. The prime rib was mostly rare to medium rare, with too little cooked medium well or well for my taste, and the broccoli was undercooked. The salad was so-so. Some people liked the bread pudding, and I thought the chocolate cake was good. That's just my view, of course, and others felt differently.

Brenda at the front desk has been super helpful every time we come for basketball tournaments. On this trip, she even helped us cancel our room when something unexpected came up. We're coming back to the area twice more this month for tournaments and plan to stay here again. The service is great, and whether you're here with family or on your own, this hotel won't disappoint.
