Super 8 Wayne

After weeks of calls and emails trying to get a receipt for my work stay, I gave up. They kept assuring me it would arrive by email, but it never did, so I can’t expense the stay. That simple request took a lot of time and got nowhere. It fits a pattern of ignoring problems and doing little to meet customer requests. I need to be in this area, but I’ll book farther away to avoid this hotel. The low price should set your expectations. The public areas weren’t very clean or attractive, and the room looked worn enough that I questioned its cleanliness. After a few nights I noticed what seemed like some kind of bug bites on my arms. I’m pretty sure something bit me, though it wasn’t bedbugs. Breakfast was very mediocre, and the coffee was served unheated. It’s not awful, but you’d have to be in a bind to stay here, and I wouldn’t chance it if you have another option.

We checked out the next day. Our first room had a broken air conditioner and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. The second room had a strange smell, and my sister, who was in another room, said she got bitten by bedbugs and left the next morning too. The place is dirty and dated, and needs a full renovation. The sheets were old and see-through, with fleece blankets on the beds. There was also old furniture that looked like it might have come from the owner’s home. It felt neither professional nor sanitary. I’d give zero stars if I could. Please don’t stay there.

The hot water came through quickly, so I didn’t have to wait, and the shower was elegant. It worked well for my needs and was a nice place to stay. My only gripe was that the TV service didn’t include the History channel.

It was 99+ degrees outside in Nebraska in July, and the AC wasn’t on, so our room was over 100. The clerk was rude and wouldn’t even look at our reservation number. I’d booked a month ahead for a queen, but got a full bed instead. The room was meant to cost $70, but I was charged $90, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in over two weeks. I’ll never stay at Super 8 Wayne Nebraska again and wouldn’t recommend it.
