Grandview Lodge

The room was disgusting. Dust and actual dirt clogged the vents, dead bugs were in the picture frames, and the furniture was so dirty you could have written “clean me” on it. The spring mattresses looked like they were first bought in 1987 and should have been replaced long ago. Even the views weren't remotely grand. The national chain we left, despite advertising no views, had better ones. When we told the owner we were leaving, there was no response and no attempt to ask why or make it right. We checked in and had a pleasant conversation with the owner, put our bags in the room, and went to dinner. While out, we booked somewhere else, then came back for our things. We were in the lodge maybe 15 minutes and had no disagreement or even slightly negative interaction with staff. There's no hidden story here. This place shows what lighting can do in photos. On a fall trip through the mountains, we came across this charming lodge and I'm so glad we did. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the fresh breakfast with homemade biscuits was exceptional. Our rustic room felt cozy, warm, and inviting, was very clean, and had comfortable beds.

The service made us feel welcome, and the views and breakfast were both amazing. The lodge was very accommodating and pet friendly. We had such a great time and will definitely come back for a longer stay.

The area was so peaceful and quiet, and the owners were lovely to meet and talk with. My husband and I stayed at the Grandview Lodge for the first time and were both extremely pleased with our room. The breakfast was by far the best we've ever had. We're looking forward to our next trip and plan to stay again.
