Wells Moody Motel

The rates were reasonable, and there are several restaurants close by. The staff were polite and helpful, and the parking areas had good lighting. It’s an older, quaint motel, but it’s clean and well kept.

We only needed a place to sleep and shower before heading to New Hampshire the next morning, so this basic motel did the job for one night. For the off-season price of $89 per night, it was about what I expected.

The bed was super comfy, and the pool was awesome. We were in a quiet room at the back, and the A/C kept it cool. There was plenty of space for two adults and two kids, too. The bathroom was a little small but totally adequate. I’ve been visiting Wells,ME since I was a kid, though I rarely stay overnight. This time we had a few days free during a heat dome and decided to make a trip of it. I looked through several places and settled here, and I’m really glad I did. The value for the price was pretty phenomenal. I’ve worked in hospitality, so I always check a room when I arrive. The corners were clean, the mattresses were clear and zipped into liners, the linens were fresh and crisp, and the bathroom was clean. We’ll definitely be back.

The beach was about half a mile away, just down the side street. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and our room was really comfortable. They’d also put a little table and two chairs on the front porch of every room.
