The room smelled wonderfully of cinnamon, and the sheets and towels smelled lovely too. It was fairly clean when I arrived, and the bathroom was very nice. The hot water was great. The front desk was welcoming and friendly, and housekeeping was helpful and friendly when I made requests. Some of the carpet and bed skirts were stained and could really use shampooing. The caulking around the tub looked very old, like it hadn’t been replaced in years. The elevator floor was dirty, and the hallways and lobby felt sad and unclean. I stayed one night, and it wasn’t too bad.

I came back to find my belongings gone and the room reset, even though I’d been told by phone that my stay was extended and my card had been charged. I’d left around 11:30 to run errands and was gone less than two hours. My key card didn’t work when I returned, so I went to have it reactivated. At the front desk, they said they didn’t know where my things were and that I hadn’t paid for another night. Some belongings were returned, but I still don’t have the rest. I called today to ask for an update and Pradip dismissed me again without listening. The general manager, Pradip, was disgustingly unprofessional. He questioned how many beds were in my room as if having other guests with me were an inconvenience, spoke to me like I was a child, refused to refund me, and yelled that he’d call the cops and I should never come back when I said I was going upstairs to get my purse and another bag I’d just brought in. I don’t know whether he acted that way because I’m young, because I’m a woman, or because he was angry about being caught. Losing my things is frustrating even though they can be replaced, but I’m most upset by how I was treated. They were hostile and talked down to me, and the hotel never tried to make it right. It’s sickening to see a business that depends on customer service treat guests this way. I can only imagine how poorly the employees are treated. I’d chosen this hotel because I’d stayed here many times before without trouble, aside from one room that hadn’t been reset. This time, I booked online, but they couldn’t find my reservation. I thought it was odd, but didn’t blame the staff since it was through a third party. I made a walk-in reservation and, after about 20 minutes, got a room key. The receptionist who showed me to the room was very kind. The next morning, at about 8am, I called to ask about staying one more night and confirmed it could be handled by phone. They said it was extended and my card had been charged. I won’t be returning.

The room itself was fine, but the key card only opened the door if I pushed the handle up to get it open. I went down for breakfast on 1/10/26 and found a filthy dining area, so I left and ate at Denny’s across the street. There was mud everywhere and food spilled all over. Nearly all the hot bar items were gone, and what was left was burned and unappetizing. Mud covered the stairs and hallway carpet too, and the hallways smelled dank.

Jen at the front desk was the only reason I’d consider staying again. She was calm, courteous, caring, and so apologetic. She’ll always have a place in my heart for showing that people can truly care about their clients’ well-being and happiness. My experience with the manager at the front desk was horrible. He was curt and rude to my whole family, and tried to overcharge me for a room because I’m a woman and he thought he could get away with it.

The first room, #225, was unacceptable. It smelled horrendous, the floor was sticky, surfaces were dusty, and the carpet was covered in stains. After I reported it, the staff member was kind and apologetic and moved us to room #213. The smell there was a little more tolerable, but the carpet had blood stains, and an unidentified white fluid was dripping from the bed skirt. Under the bedding we found short black hairs, stained sheets, and visible dry skin flakes. The bathroom was very dated, the toilet was an unusually small size, and the door could barely close while using the restroom. We notified the front desk again, and the staff member came to see the room. She was visibly upset, confirmed the unsanitary conditions, and immediately tried contacting the manager, Devon, and the owner, Brian. Both refused to offer any reimbursement despite what we considered an unsafe and unsanitary room. She told us she’d already given two weeks’ notice, and stood in tears at checkout, saying she “can’t handle it anymore” because guests are unhappy every day and management won’t take responsibility or give refunds. As paying guests and first responders who understand the importance of health and safety standards, we were deeply disappointed and feel obligated to share this. The hallways were extremely dim, the carpets heavily stained and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Across the property there was a strong mix of urine, smoke, and mold odors, alarming from the moment we arrived. This is unacceptable and, in our view, a genuine health risk. We’ll report the conditions to the Washington Health Department. I strongly urge future travelers to avoid this property until sanitation, maintenance, and management practices improve.
