Red Lion Hotel Wenatchee City Center

The front desk team gave us a warm, friendly welcome when we arrived. Our room was roomy, though a bit outdated even though the building looks modern from outside, which was disappointing. We also had trouble with the tub draining and the hot water being inconsistent. The connecting door to the next room let sound right through. We could clearly hear the family next door and even smell the food they were cooking. It was an okay stay, with some drawbacks.

Check-in and checkout were quick and easy, and I found the place comfortable to rest in. It’s a bit run down, but clean and functional. There’s no elevator, and the carpet at the top of the first flight of stairs was loose enough that the wheel on my bag caught for a moment. On a frigid night, the bright bathroom lighting was welcome and the heater warmed up quickly. The balcony slider was unlocked when I arrived, and the pole meant to secure it didn’t fit firmly, so it couldn’t keep the door from opening. Good thing the killers realized it was too cold to hop balconies that night. 😂

We were there with the Special Olympics basketball team and felt warmly welcomed. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and professional, and breakfast was delicious. The building could use a little TLC, but everything else was fantastic. Thanks again for welcoming the Special Olympics.

The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and all night a child ran back and forth in the room above us. In the morning, we found dirty water standing in the bathtub from an overflow. When we told the employee at checkout, she didn’t seem to care. She just said “I’m sorry” and sent us on our way. My husband, daughter, and I stayed last night, and honestly I wish we’d paid more to stay somewhere else. We definitely won’t be coming back.
