Farm Road Estate

Both nights we had a great dinner, first at the main restaurant and then at the pub/speak easy. Farm Road Estate is just 5 minutes from the base of Mt Snow, so we got to the slopes without a long wait or traffic. The property is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a fireplace in our room and plenty of wood outside. It was my first time here, and the stay was terrific from beginning to end. Next time, I plan to bring a larger group and book two or three of the houses on the property.

We attended my niece's wedding here and had a great experience from beginning to end. The staff went out of their way to meet our needs, and the food was gourmet, with lots of great recipes. We stayed in Cedar House number three, with a great view over the ponds and lakes and an easy walk to the main house where most events happen. The rooms were relaxing and had amenities I wouldn't have expected. This family-owned resort used to be a sawmill, which Mike and his family did a great job remodeling into a venue for weddings, special occasions, and vacations. The property is quiet and beautiful, with tall trees, lakes, and a peaceful feel. The staff and service were first class. I'd recommend the venue without hesitation and plan to return. Mt Snow is only about a 5-minute drive, so the location worked perfectly for skiing. We spent three nights at the Inn and didn't want to leave for meals, except for lunch on the mountain. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurants there, and everything was so comfortable that we never felt like going elsewhere. Playing Jenga by the fireplace in the main room with a drink was another highlight. The place has that rustic, charming Vermont Inn feel we love, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to figure out when to come back.

We've eaten at the sawmill restaurant four times now, and every meal has been as good as the last. Breakfast or dinner, you can't go wrong. The chef is extremely talented, and the care put into every plate shows. Theresea was a pleasant, attentive waitress. The hotel is clean, welcoming, and pleasant, and the decor and vibe feel just right for Vermont. The kids loved the ice skating rink. Thanks to the whole staff. We'll be back.
