After more than 13 hours on the road, we arrived and I remembered why this is my least favorite hotel chain. We’ve had bad experiences with America’s Best Value in several states, and this stay felt bare bones. We usually choose 3-star hotels, so the difference was obvious. My wife had forgotten how much I dislike the chain, and I felt bad because she had tried to make it work. Our four kids usually look forward to hotel breakfast, but they saw what was offered and complained right away. The room was surprisingly spacious, but the floor was scuffed and dirty. The hallways smelled pretty bad, while the room itself was just musty. Breakfast was cereal beside a very grungy coffee maker and toaster in the lobby. The toilet paper was mounted across from the toilet, out of reach for our kids. Nothing against the staff. They maintain this like a 2-star place, maybe 1.5.

I almost passed this place up after reading the negative reviews, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. The location is convenient, and $77 was an even better price. The room was clean and odor-free, with Google TV and all the apps. Breakfast is the one thing that could use some help, though it does cover the basics. It's right by a truck stop, with parking behind the motel, so it's especially handy for fellow truckers. I'd recommend it.

I checked in at 5:08 pm on November 1, 2025, then checked out within the hour. I'm a disabled veteran with PTSD, and after checking in I had an episode that meant I needed to leave right away. I asked for a refund for the stay, but they refused, even though I'm an AARP member and disabled veteran. I find that completely unacceptable and will never recommend this hotel.

The room is what you'd expect from a budget hotel for the price. What stood out was the woman at the desk. She was fantastic and extremely helpful when the third-party booking service Super failed to pay the hotel and caused confusion. Her customer service is what makes this little place special and, in my view, explains its high rating.

Such wonderful women, and our new stop when we're traveling. Perfect! Hope they get to put their feet in the snow!
