The Bernic Hotel New York City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We liked The Bernic Hotel as a cute, small boutique place under the Hilton umbrella. The holiday rates for our two nights this month were definitely high, though that was expected in NYC at that time of year. The location made it easy to get around and put so many attractions nearby. Our room was cozy and well designed to use its limited space, and the beds were very comfortable after long days walking around. The shower didn't have hot water at first. Maintenance came and fixed it, but the problem was still an inconvenience. It was a good stay overall, charming and comfortable, and we'd consider coming back outside the peak holiday pricing.

We loved the balcony on our corner unit and got some great pictures with the buildings behind us. For NYC, the room was impressively roomy. I've stayed in much smaller ones here, so that was a pleasant surprise. I'd highly recommend booking a corner king room. The bed and pillows were clean and extremely comfortable, and the small bathroom had lovely heated floors. The location is excellent, about a 7-minute walk to Grand Central and roughly 15 minutes to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. You're near the main attractions without being in the middle of the crowds and noise. Food options nearby include bagel shops, delis, markets, pizza spots, and coffee shops. CVS and Walgreens are just up the block for water or last-minute essentials. The staff were welcoming, polite, and friendly each time we came or went. This is a super cute, cozy hotel, and I'd definitely recommend it for a NYC holiday visit.

We had a fantastic first trip to NYC and would definitely come back. The location was perfect, a little off the beaten path, so it was noticeably quieter. Our room was small by NYCity standards and suited two people at most, but it was clean and comfortable. There are only five rooms per floor, and we loved the balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was included, and Andrea, our server every day, was the best. I wouldn't recommend the continental breakfast. Ask to order from the menu at a discount instead. The night front desk guy and the lady working during the day were both super nice and helpful. One younger girl seemed a bit annoyed by all my questions, but whatever.

The room was surprisingly larger than most NYC hotel rooms, and I liked having name-brand soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. I spent my birthday weekend here in 02/2026, and “Wow” is still the first word that comes to mind. Mr. Andres gave me a phenomenal welcome. Once I told him it was my birthday, he surprised me and went above and beyond. I did have one “hickup.” Miss Karla, the supervisor on duty, listened to my complaint, understood where I was coming from, and found a fair, reasonable solution. She kept smiling and cheerful through it all. Miss Karla, I commend your customer service and work ethic, and think you deserve a General Manager position. My mother had a very unusual craving for chocolate. Miss Brittney not only got her some, but brought her several pieces. Her kindness made my mother's night, and Mom couldn't stop talking about it. Keep up the amazing work, Bernic Staff!
