We went to OHK Restaurant for brunch, not an overnight stay, and really enjoyed the meal. Miguel was attentive and accommodating without hovering. The fresh little muffins were so good, as were the smoked salmon and its presentation. The crab cake was excellent, and our table had a lovely view of the grounds. While walking around the castle afterward, we met its owner, Gary Melius. He was pleasant and down to earth, and we had a nice chat. A very nice experience, definitely recommend.

Oheka Castle is a dream location for wedding shoots. The gardens and grounds look incredible from every angle, and the design feels thoughtful throughout. Everything photographs beautifully, from the grand entrance and outdoor spaces to the indoor staircases, which are great for classic, timeless portraits. It has the feel of a stately, timeless castle, and makes wedding photos look romantic, polished, and unforgettable. Here are a few of our favorite shots:

My husband and I stayed at Oheka Castle in June 2025, and we loved the experience. Touring the garden is a must, it's beautiful. The castle's history was fascinating, and we enjoyed looking at the old photos in the halls showing the place before it was taken over and restored. We had drinks and delicious bites at the bar the first night, then dinner at the restaurant the next evening. The service was very good and the food fantastic. It's quite a ways off the beaten path, which I see as a plus. I'd highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Lunch at Oheka Castle was fresh, delicious, and served with attentive, professional service. The setting made it feel especially peaceful and special. The castle itself is grand, charming, and breathtaking. I'll definitely visit again!

For my daughter's birthday, we toured the historic rooms and grounds before heading to the Oheka restaurant. Gary Melius greeted us cheerfully with, "welcome to my house," asked where we were from, and cracked a couple of jokes. He has such a genuine nature. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, and brought a tasty dessert while everyone sang Happy Birthday. Gary came back and shared cake with us. Thank you, Gary, for making us feel so welcome at Oheka Castle. I'll definitely come back to enjoy that warm hospitality.
