Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel

The courtyard is gorgeous, with rooms around a lovely pool and landscaped grounds. The hotel has a charming lobby on Sunset Blvd, easy parking, and you can walk to Whiskey a Go Go. Inside, it’s modern and updated, yet connected to the original California architecture and style that’s rare in today’s glass and steel “box hotels.” Outside, the Spanish Colonial look recalls the beginnings of Hollywood and what makes Los Angeles unique. Breakfast has plenty of protein choices and beautiful pastries and croissants. Management and staff were wonderfully hospitable. This feels like a secret gem in Los Angeles, and sharing it may make it harder for me to get a room, but they deserve the attention.

Great location, and the front desk customer service was exceptional. The mattresses were so comfortable we slept right through the free breakfast. Would definitely return. Thank you.

The Spa Suite worked really well for my family and me. There was a separate lounge and kitchenette, plus a fold-out couch, so four adults had plenty of comfort. I especially liked the separate shower, with its rainfall head and great water pressure. Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza is a great holiday base for families who want big rooms and excellent amenities, with easy access to Hollywood, Universal Studios theme park, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Downtown LA. The hotel is currently being refurbished, and the upgraded rooms offer a lot for the price.

We always stay here when we visit our son in West Hollywood. The hotel is being renovated, and the work was needed. The results have turned out very nice. I especially appreciate the underground parking and the EV charging stations. My rental car was electric, so being able to charge it overnight was a nice bonus.
