Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

Getting around was convenient, with the beach a short five-minute drive away and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. CVS, Wawa, and a dispensary were close too. The staff were friendly and quick to address concerns, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was plentiful one morning but there was hardly anything available on our last day. We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed, though we understood why. I was satisfied with the stay and would return.

The room looked neat and had a layout I really liked, and the front desk man was very nice. But after driving three hours with my husband and our one-year-old, I found big stains on the bed and walls and couldn't stay. No one was there that night to clean or offer extra sheets, so we left at midnight. I told the manager Kim, but she denied my refund request.

The location worked well for driving to the main attractions, beach, outlet mall, and restaurants. The hotel itself is basic, with limited but passable breakfast and a standard-sized room that had a slight water smell. For $200 a night midweek, I was disappointed not to get fresh towels. Most of the staff were friendly, but one employee took offense when I asked simple questions about the room, called me crazy, and refused to help, with a bad attitude. A family member had booked the hotel, but for the same price I would have preferred somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other options.

The room was good, and the pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was mediocre at best, just waffles, bread, bagels, and muffins, with no meat. If you need WiFi during your stay, this place is a no-go.
