The room had no frills, but it was clean enough for a one-night stay. I could have used more electrical outlets. Check-in was simple and the staff were friendly, and the woman in the breakfast room was great. I booked through Southwest, so I didn't get a receipt.
The one thing this place has going for it is the location off I95, but that doesn't make it worth staying here. I paid $270 for one night, which is ridiculous for these conditions. The vending machines were empty, and though breakfast is advertised as complimentary, I won't even try it in the morning. Wish I could give zero stars. I stayed in room 302. The hotel is old, dated, filthy, and disgusting. I found a bug in the room. The walls and ceiling had dust and stains and looked like they hadn't been washed. The linens didn't look white, the tub seemed to have been reglazed with white spray paint, and the shower curtain was nasty. This place should charge by the hour, not by the night. Do not stay here.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Palm Beach Airport smelled horribly of mildew and mold as soon as I walked in, and it was hard to breathe. In the room, the sheets were dirty and roaches were crawling on the walls. The whole place felt uncomfortable and unsanitary. It's absolutely gross and disgusting. I would never recommend staying here and wish I could give it zero stars.
The room had an old smell, the showerheads were nasty with mold and heavy buildup around the nozzles, and the sink drained slowly. It was gross, and I won't come back. This hotel needs major renovations. I also had a bad experience at the front desk. I was given a key for room 212 and went up twice trying to unlock the door, holding my dog and trying to get to a New Year's party on time. I waited 10 minutes for the nice front desk girl to fix the key, and ended up in room 104.
We were in town for a cheer competition, and the one-night stay cost $357, which didn't feel worth it. The hotel offered early check-in; I tried at 2pm, but the room wasn't ready until about 2:40. Technically early, but not by much. There was only one person working the lobby, so everyone had to wait. The window tracks were filthy, the drapes stained and gross, and although the bed linens had been cleaned, they were very wrinkled. For this price, I'd rather pay $700 and stay in a better hotel.
