Studio 6 West Sacramento, CA

I’ve stayed twice, once in the front building and once in the back, and asked for a kitchen both times. Each time they put me in a standard room instead, so there was no microwave in the room. The only one I found was shared in the laundry room. I understand some Studio 6 rooms have a fridge, microwave, and sink, but I haven’t been given one during either stay. I’m not sure why.

Traveling alone as a woman, I felt uneasy here and wouldn’t recommend it. The room itself was clean and about what you’d expect at this price. At night the desk is handled online, with no staff member there in person if you have an issue with the room or services, or noisy neighbors. That wasn’t much help and made me feel less safe. Some long-term guests were making a lot of noise in the evenings, and the car chargers weren’t working.

The service was great, though I felt a little unsure about the place. I hadn’t rented a room in over ten years, so this was my first time checking out the 6. It was $78 plus a $40 key deposit. The parking lot looked a bit sketchy to me, and there was no microwave.

They gave us a late checkout, and the service was friendly. This Studio Motel 6 and the one by the waterfront in Stockton both have excellent customer service!
