I had to try three rooms in total, and every one was dirty and smelled horrible. They offered to move me after I found urine and dog hair on the bed, but the rooms all smelled like cigarettes and dogs. Signs say the property is 100% smoke-free, yet people were smoking around the place. I even saw someone open their door and walk out with a cigarette already in their mouth. After trying all three rooms, I couldn't stay and booked an Airbnb instead. I wasn't refunded even though I never stayed. The front desk guy was nice and deserves to work for a better hotel. This is a motel, not a three-star hotel, and they need to shut it down. It was a horrible experience, especially after a long travel day. I was in town because my mother had died. I asked for my money back. They replied that my case had been addressed and closed, that I was now on the DNR list, and wished me the best in the future. The message was signed RRI West Management, Red Roof + West Springfield.

For a quick stay, it was decent and had what I expected. The bed was comfortable, I didn't see anyone hanging around in the parking lot, and check-in was easy.

The upgraded room was dirtier than the regular rooms, and it only had three pillows. I got attitude from the staff when I asked for a room without pet hair, after being told they had rooms just for pets. Apparently there weren't any, or the cleaning was just bad. I bought supplies and cleaned the room myself. I forgot to take pictures of the floors because I was so shocked by the bed covers. I'd be better off at the riverdale inn motel. If you go here, stick to the cheap rooms without a fridge. Those are the cleanest, not the “luxury” rooms.

I booked two nights, asked for a refund, and refused to stay because the room smelled and there were lots of people hanging around in the parking lot. It felt very unsafe. Worst experience ever, zero out of five stars. This was the response I got: “Your case has been addressed and closed. You are currently on the DNR list. We wish you the best in the future. Sincerely, RRI West Management Red Roof + West Springfield” Hannah, I still haven't heard back from the GM. Please have someone contact me. I can never get hold of the GM at this location. Did you even read my review? The DNR list?

The desk clerk was great and explained clearly what was and wasn't allowed. Letting my dog stay in the room was a huge plus. If you have pets and need a hotel, I'd highly recommend Red Roof inn.
