The room was clean, and I'll probably sleep well, but it felt sparse, like a rushed remodel. The air conditioner had spackle all over it, and there were no sconces even though they appeared in the room photos. There aren't any outlets on the wall by the bed, and even if there were, there's no bedside table to put anything on while it charges. A light sits by the suitcase stand, probably because there are no outlets on the wall by the chair. The chair is tucked into a corner where you can't see the TV properly. The bathroom is standard, with everything attached to the wall, including the hand soap. The place feels tacky, like a flip.

I have POTS, PTSD, and a seizure disorder, and after two days I was kicked out for “faking a service dog.” Some staff harassed me and asked for paperwork or an ID. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service dog doesn't need paperwork or an ID. You're only allowed to ask whether it's a service dog and what tasks it performs. You can't ask for paperwork, ID, my disability, or proof such as a doctor's note. My Australian Shepherd is a fully trained, well-behaved Medical Alert Service Dog. He alerts me to seizures, medical episodes, and PTSD episodes. He never peed in the room, damaged anything, or caused trouble. I won't be coming back to this hotel.
Nothing in the room seemed to work right. The shampoo looked discolored and dirty, and there weren't any towels, so I had to go down to the front desk to ask for some. The food was barely edible and not worth ordering. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.
I've stayed here a couple of times, and both stays were great, even though the hotel has been renovated and is still working through the changes. It's tucked into a quiet neighborhood but still close to places to eat. There's an old-school charm to it, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
My husband and friends have stayed here over the past few years. The staff are hospitable and helpful, and the rooms are clean and relaxing. The coffee and food are fresh too. It's a small, quaint place, comfortable and safe, like staying at a friend's house. It's an older hotel, so it's not fancy, but it has the basics and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. For the price, clean, safe, and friendly is plenty.
