Windham Hill Inn

The November discount made our stay really affordable, and we got breakfast vouchers too. Staff were very helpful, and the rooms were beautiful, cozy, and romantic. I loved this hotel!

The package we asked them to ship is still a problem. It arrived at the hotel late, and a week after it reached VT, we still had no idea when it would get to us. They took four days to ship it, by then it was the weekend, so it won't reach our home in time for what we needed it for. Service was poor throughout the stay. We texted the innkeeper's number with a question and got no reply. On a Friday night, the innkeeper on staff stumbled into the lobby visibly drunk, then spent the rest of the time playing video games on a laptop. When I asked about the “hikes” on the property, they said to just walk out into the pasture. For your information, there aren't actual hikes like the website suggests. They charge luxury hotel rates for no service, and when a person is involved, the service is horrible. Avoid this hotel. Stay somewhere else, anywhere else.

Our room was spacious, with big windows, a fireplace, a freestanding tub, and a large shower. The innkeeper was kind and attentive, and the place felt like a quintessential Vermont inn, quaint and cozy. We spent two nights here for Valentine’s Day and a birthday, skiing at Stratton during the day. It was a peaceful, relaxing stay with nice accommodations. We’ll definitely come back, hopefully in summer next time.

It may look a little vintage in the photos, but the place is spotless. I’m allergic to dust, so I can tell just by breathing. The hot tub is great after a long day on the slopes. This is my favorite East Coast hotel for ski trips, absolutely lovely, and I highly recommend it.
