Days Inn West Yellowstone

The kids’ favorite part was the indoor water slide. There’s also a pool and two hot tubs. Our room was spacious and clean, and the price seemed reasonable for being so close to Yellowstone. Breakfast was free and had tons of options. It’s a great hotel with amazing staff, even if it’s not five-star.

That breakfast was fantastic. It’s served in the restaurant attached to the hotel, with scrambled eggs and ham, biscuits and gravy, biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, mixed fruit, oatmeal, and the usual quick breakfast options. The attendant kept cleaning and refilling the trays. The hotel was very clean, our room had two queens and plenty of space, and the beds were comfortable. The heater was quiet and easy to control. At check-in, the front desk employee was incredibly nice and efficient while seeming to do the work of two people. I hadn’t stayed at a Days Inn in years and worried it might have become run-down, but my expectations were exceeded by far. It’s very expensive, though still cheaper than many other places in West Yellowstone.

The water slide was a big hit with the kids and wore them out by bedtime, which parents of toddlers will appreciate 😉. It’s an older place, but quiet, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel for a long time. The air conditioner wouldn’t start when we arrived, but maintenance fixed it within five minutes and it worked fine after that.

The pool slide is the big attraction, and it’s fun for all ages. The pool area was clean, parking was ample and included during our visit, and the hotel stayed quiet at night despite its size. Rooms and hallways were clean, though they’re no-frills, as you’d expect at a value hotel. Breakfast was okay, with the usual options for this kind of place, like cereal and fruit. The friendly staff handled a busy hotel patiently and kept the dining area clean and ready during breakfast. It’s conveniently near the city center, within walking distance of shops, bars, and eateries, while still in a quiet part of West Yellowstone. A good value for families or anyone on a budget.
