The bed was much smaller than the queen or king we’d asked for, and the pillows were flat and deflated. Nothing about the place was comfortable. If we hadn’t been so far from home and traveling with our little dog, I would’ve left right away. The room looked nothing like the pictures for this location. Sheets were badly stained, walls were cracked, chipped and dirty, the floor was cracked, tiles were loose, and the mirrors were smudged. Nothing smelled clean, and it didn’t look like anyone had tried to make it seem clean. The bathroom light was out. When I called to ask for a room change or repair, the front desk said there were no rooms left and the maintenance man was off for the weekend. The call disconnected, so I called back, and someone eventually came to replace the bulb. We didn’t see any bugs, which would’ve been the final straw. Corporate needs to come see this crumbling, badly neglected place and consider a major overhaul of everything. Hands down the worst “hotel” I’ve stayed in.

The room smelled as soon as we opened the door, and it was filthy: stained sheets, bloody pillowcases, dust and hair everywhere. The bathroom was so bad we didn’t even want to shower in it. When we told the man at the front desk, all he said was, “I’m sorry.” We also had trouble checking in and then had problems with parking once we finally got a room. It was a bad stay from beginning to end. We would’ve been better off in our car. I’d never recommend this place to anyone, and I won’t stay at a RedRoof Inn again.

During my week-long stay, my towels, trash, and floors were never taken care of by staff. I had to look after my own room for all seven days, and frequent language barriers with housekeeping made it impossible to sort out the service problems while I was there. There were also concerns with the facilities and staff conduct. I saw workers throw used sheets from the top floor down to street level, and I observed a senior housekeeping staff member drinking alcohol while cleaning. I had reserved a King Suite but wasn’t given the room type I paid for. The first room wasn’t ready when I arrived, and the second one smelled strongly of smoke. Even after the official check-in time, I had to wait at the front desk for a long time before they finally assigned me a room. The service was poor and, at times, entirely unprofessional.

The microwave was way too dirty to use, and one lamp only worked after I plugged it into the wall socket. There wasn’t even a phone in the room. I won’t stay there again!

We’ve stayed here a few times and still love it. It’s affordable, so the building is a little older, but they take good care of it. It isn’t a fancy $300-a-night suite, but the place feels safe, it’s in a good area, and the room is comfortable and sparkling clean. The woman at the desk from 2 to 7, or possibly later since that’s the latest I’ve been by, is always kind and does her best to make sure I have what I need. The hotel is friendly and very accommodating to my needs. Still awesome for us.
