Casa Loma Hotel

This is my first choice when I stay in this part of the city. I’ve been here three times and have no complaints about the value, location, friendly staff, or clean rooms. Since it’s an older building, you can definitely hear the neighbors.

The beds squeak a lot, and the walls are so thin we could easily hear two people talking, as well as someone upstairs having sex. This was around 1:30 a.m. If you’re just looking for the cheapest possible stay, it’s fine. For a special vacation or celebration, I’d pay more to stay somewhere else.

The Wi-Fi kept dropping, about every five minutes, and there was quite a bit of noise. You could hear other rooms and their TVs. The rooms are also pretty small, and one bathroom towel had hair on it that wasn’t mine.

We’ll come back when we’re in the area again. The place suited us perfectly: it’s in a residential neighborhood, with street parking or a public garage nearby. The rooms have been recently renovated and have new private bathrooms. It reminded me of European hotels, making efficient use of space and keeping things budget-conscious. Great location, safe, and clean.
