For a short stay, I’d give this motel a thumbs up, and I’d come back. I’d read the negative reviews before booking and wanted to judge it for myself. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and my room was clean. There’s only a walk-in shower, no tub, and I noticed a bit of a musty smell. For the price, that didn’t bother me much. You could bring a candle or use perfume or cologne to freshen the room.

The owner refused to refund my payment, so I had to dispute the charge. Don’t pay cash here. If you have to stay, use a credit card with customer protection. The room I booked in winter had no heat, the wallpaper was peeling, and it looked like nobody had cleaned it properly in ages. The place is old, filthy, and falling apart. When I complained, the manager didn’t seem to care. He said I could wait 30 minutes to see if the heat came on, but made it clear he wouldn’t give my money back. With rooms like that and such rude service, I’d stay somewhere else.

I paid for seven full days, but the owner made me leave on day six after I’d stayed for a week. They rented the room to the next person without cleaning it at all. When I got home, I found my bag full of bedbugs. There was a cockroach in the shower, too, and the owner was rude.

The staff were friendly enough, and the price was reasonable, but the room was awful. We’d reserved a non-smoking room, yet opening the door brought a wall of foul cigarette smell that seemed to have gotten into everything. It looked like it was stuck in the 1950s or 1960s, which I could have lived with. We asked for another room, but none were available. We opened the window and went out for dinner, hoping the smell would clear while we were gone. It didn’t. If it hadn’t been so late, I would’ve gone somewhere else and paid more for a better room.
