At $250 a night, this place was a huge disappointment, and we would have left as soon as we saw it if our booking hadn’t been nonrefundable. The bed was rock hard, with only springs and no foam, and the shower hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. Its walk-in shower has no door and barely gets warm, while the heavy bathroom door bangs into the toilet. The sink is open to the bed with no door or separation, so if one person gets up first, the other wakes. The AC is loud and obnoxious even when turned off, so we had to unplug it overnight. It’s one of the worst stays I’ve had. Hilton is a great chain, but this property is a major letdown, and I won’t return or recommend it to friends or family.

I was in town for a week while my husband had an operation at the Cleveland Clinic, and the hotel was very close to the hospital. There were plenty of places to eat nearby and along my route there. Aixa was friendly and helpful, and the rooms, lobby, and hallways were clean. They offer a shuttle to the hospital, though I didn’t use it. I also didn’t try the pool or workout room, so I can’t speak to those.

The front desk person was pleasant and suggested a great place for dinner, and the hotel is close to the Everglades. Our handicap room was a good size, but the bed was rock hard and almost at floor level, making it tough to get in and out of. There were no bath towels in the bathroom. The wall behind the toilet was yellow, the shower caulk looked like it needed replacing, and the water pressure was nearly nonexistent, worse than any RV I’ve owned. During the hour we sat at breakfast, no one cleaned the tables.

I booked two nights with Hilton Points for Feb 24-26 and checked out on Thursday, Feb 26. Later, Hilton Customer Care told me the overnight Operations Manager, Andrew, had made another reservation in my name at 12:05am on Feb 27, 2026, without my authorization. The hotel then claimed I checked out at 7:30pm. How could a guest stay in the room 8.5 hours past checkout without management coming by or calling law enforcement? I found the management dishonest and disingenuous, and their claims about upholding Hilton’s values feel like a scam. The service was the worst I’ve had at a Hilton. The room itself was outdated. Water pressure kept surging and dropping in the shower, and the AC only blew fan air. The old unit dried out my mouth and skin so badly that I woke up with the middle knuckle on my left hand bleeding. The glass shower has only a half wall, no door, so water splashes all over the floor by the toilet in an already tiny bathroom. I slipped every time I got out. It’s a dangerous design. Between the worn room, useless AC, and what I see as a fake extra-night booking in retaliation for an approved late checkout, this place is worse than a Motel 6 and a one-star hotel.
