Days Inn by Wyndham Wheat Ridge/Denver West

I picked this place for a two week work trip because my employer’s booking site offered an approved room at a reduced rate. I had to pay upfront and get reimbursed after the trip, so I was trying not to spend more than necessary. That was a big mistake. I opened the exhaust fan grille over the bathroom sink to clean it because it was disgusting, and something fell out. Nothing was alive, but I couldn’t stand brushing my teeth under that gross fan. The manager’s response was to threaten to make me leave for opening the grille. It’s intact and clean now, it’s not rocket science. I’ll never stay at another Days Inn, and I’ll avoid the cheapest rooms too. I grew up poor and know how to rough it, but as an adult I’ve never had roaches in my home, and I’m not paying to stay in a disgusting motel.

I was making a delivery, then parked in a shaded area. The front desk person told me to leave because I wasn’t parked straight in a line. I didn’t need to check in for a delivery, and they were very rude. This run-down, shady motel had no people in the lot, and I’m guessing no guests either. Even if I needed an emergency place to sleep, this would not be it. There’s no debate about it. I’ll keep this review up and share it on other platforms. Have the day you deserve.

My kids and I were traveling across the country when car trouble forced us to stop here. I wasn’t expecting much, but the room’s heating and AC were on a centralized unit, and the heat was set to 75. That was way too hot for us since we like to sleep cold. We also like to leave early, but I was told I had to check out to get my deposit back, and then found out the office didn’t open until 8 am. That would put us right in Denver rush hour. I’ll never stop here again.

My family and I loved the place, especially all the relatives we found under the mini fridge! The owner was gracious enough not to call pest control or step on my lovely wife. We’ll happily meet here once a year for family reunions :)
