There’s lots of shade, and the playground is great. My young son has been riding his bike in the skatepark since he was three. Most of the skaters are sweet with little kids and considerate about the music they play. The bathrooms are usually locked, so there’s just a porta potty.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and really like the playground and the park’s layout. There’s a small parking lot, plus some street parking. It was pretty cold when I visited, but it’s still worth checking out while you’re in Wheat Ridge.

A fun park for all ages. In summer, bring a swimsuit and towels for the creek and splash pad. The sandbox calls for a bucket and shovel, and you can bring a scooter, bike, or skateboard for the skate park.

I love that there’s a section just for toddlers. My son has a treat waiting for him when he gets older: there’s a big-kid playground with the most amazing slides I’ve ever seen at a kids’ playground, plus a skate park. Awesome place.

There’s always plenty for all my kids, ages 2-6, to do here. They can play in the sand, use the small and large slides, climb, or ride skateboards and scooters. There are two picnic areas too. It’s always busy, and a great place to park.
