The mountain views are amazing for what I paid, and the hotel is cheap, with decent breakfast and coffee. I had to go through three rooms before getting one that was clean, working, and without problems. Each time, the staff were very helpful when I asked to switch, whether it was because of no hot water or stains on the bed. The current room is very nice, and I have no complaints.

The room was clean, the staff friendly, and it was easy to get to. The simple continental breakfast was enough. The price was right, but hot water took about 15 minutes to come through. The toilet kept running, which housekeeping might have noticed. Worst of all, we realized just before leaving that the fridge wasn’t plugged in, so our seafood leftovers from the night before were sitting at room temperature.

The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and it’s a budget option within an easy drive of the Denver area. Breakfast starts at 6 and offers a waffle iron and a few bagels. There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby, either sewer gas or water-heater exhaust. In the room, there was no hot water for a shower, the TV didn’t work, and only a few outlets worked, so we had to choose between plugging in the fridge or the light. The bottle caps in the corner were free, I guess.

I checked out early the next morning after arriving from Tennessee on Christmas night, and I’m still waiting for a response to the email I sent. We got in around 10:00 PM to a room with an unpleasant odor and a dirty floor scattered with sugar packets. The hotel was older than we expected, and the level of cleanliness and comfort was disappointing. The pull-out couch sheets were badly stained, and the closet had no spare bedding. The front desk employee was unhelpful when I asked for clean bedding. He eventually brought some, along with two pillows, but there were no pillowcases, just thin sheets and a bed skirt that my daughter had to use as a blanket. The TV had no channels, and the musty smell was overwhelming. We had to run the air conditioning, which was loud and ineffective. The bathrooms and hallways were dirty, as was the dining area that evening. I usually don’t complain, but the condition of the property and the service concerned me and didn’t meet the standard I expect from Wyndham properties. I booked through a third-party site and was told a refund wasn’t possible, but I’d appreciate some compensation or a voucher for a future stay. I’ve included photos to show what we encountered, and I’d appreciate someone contacting me about this. I’ll wait to post a review until I hear back. Would you want your children staying somewhere like this? I’m sharing the email here, along with the photos.

I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but after several emails asking me to write one, I’ve decided to describe our stay. Out of five hotels on our trip, this was easily the worst, possibly the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’m easy to please, and the staff were polite, so my complaint is about the property’s condition and cleanliness. The rate was low, but it wasn’t worth it. The entrance clearance bar was broken and hanging so low I couldn’t drive in properly, and the lobby had a strong sewage-like smell, as if plumbing fumes were escaping. We had two rooms and four beds total. My mattress was broken and badly sunken in the middle. Sitting at the edge felt like hard boards or walls were poking into my sides. I normally shower twice a day, but I slept in the clothes I’d arrived in because the bed was unacceptable. All the sheets I checked were stained, and one was torn. The beds smelled bad enough that it seemed the sheets hadn’t been freshly changed. My daughter found a pillow black with dirt and set it aside right away. In one room, the TV kept changing channels by itself, probably because the kids next door had a remote on the same frequency. There was also a large stain on the wall that looked like dried blood. A smoke detector beeped loudly all night because of a low battery, making it almost impossible to rest. Booking directly through the site felt questionable, and they repeatedly tried to upsell extra packages. This stay was extremely disappointing, and I hope management takes the issues seriously for future guests.
