Best Western Torchlite

We arrived after a long drive through the Wyoming mountains on the way to Colorado, and should've pushed on another hour to Laramine. The lobby was locked when we got there, and nobody came to let us in for about 10 minutes. Road construction had completely blocked the hotel entrance, so we had to drive around through another business. The town smelled like sewer, too. The room felt worth $69 at best. It was dirty, with soft floors that felt rotten in a couple of spots. The bathroom was tiny and had no vent. The shower valve had no stop at off, so turning it too far brought on full hot water and burned my wife. The old through-the-wall heater and AC was mounted within an inch of the ceiling, and the filthy remote made it impossible to read the temperature setting. The AC was so loud it sounded like a semi running beside the bed. I called to complain about pretty much the whole stay, but nobody returned my call or emailed me. We'll never stay there again. I wouldn't recommend it, and would've rather pulled out our tent.

I was there October 6-11, 2025, and had a very pleasant stay. I got the downstairs room I'd asked for, and it was clean. The night clerk who took my reservation was a 10 for service and courtesy. The day clerk was friendly and helpful when I checked in, and check-in was quick.

The pool was nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the Mexican restaurant next door was convenient. It was quiet apart from the road noise, so try to get a room away from the highway if you can. I'd give it five stars if the price weren't a little high.

The staff were amazing, and the room smelled clean and was clean. The beds were very comfortable.
