Super 8 Wheatland Wyoming

Very clean throughout, well stocked, and the people in every area were friendly and helpful. One family ahead of us was given a room marked ready and clean that had clearly been missed, which was a yikes moment. Nothing fancy, but the price and value were great.

A big thank you to the manager on duty Saturday afternoon and evening, 8 Nov, and to the woman at the desk. My friends and I were traveling in an EV, and the chargers at another hotel wouldn’t work with his car. The only other charger in town was at the Ford dealer near the Super 8, and it took about 2 1/2 hours. The manager let us wait in the lobby, where we could stay warm, use the bathroom, and have coffee. It was a lovely space, and they were both wonderful to us. We really appreciated it. We’ve learned our lesson about driving an EV north through Wyoming.

We were heading home and decided to drive a little farther instead of staying in Cheyenne. Glad we did. The woman at the desk was sweet and helpful, the rooms were spotless, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous, too.

Donna and Susie at the front desk are awesome. The Tesla Supercharger is across the street, and people charging there can use the restroom at Super 8 or at the gas station, whose bathrooms are decent too. Breakfast at Super 8 costs just $10 for EV drivers or the public. If you need to stop for the night, I recommend charging at the Supercharger and staying at Super 8.
