Central Motel Courtyard

The location was the one good thing. When I pulled into the small, rundown parking lot, that should've been my first warning. Check-in felt indifferent. The man at the desk wasn't rude, just barely said anything. After I filled in the vehicle information, he handed me a regular key instead of a key card, which felt outdated. The room was muggy and smelled strongly of funk. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed or cared for in years. The TV was tiny, and the broken remote was held together with tape. The fridge didn't work, and I couldn't bring myself to use the microwave. The walls were visibly damaged, including a hole where the closet doorknob had hit. The bathroom was small, the door wouldn't close properly, and what looked like mold ran along the bottom edge. The shower head was on the floor. I tried screwing it back on, but the water pressure kept blowing it off again. Bed bugs were the worst part. I didn't notice bites the first night, but by the second night they'd had a feast. I didn't even bother complaining then. I just wanted out. It's outdated, poorly maintained and unsanitary. I uploaded photos, though for some reason I couldn't upload the bathroom video. This happened two weeks ago. I wasn't going to write a review, but I couldn't keep quiet. This place really shouldn't be open. Never again.

The first room's smell was unbearable, so I asked to switch. Room number two was full of roaches and completely disgusting. This was the worst motel I've ever booked, and I'll never recommend it to anyone.

After a seven-hour drive, I arrived late and exhausted, expecting to sleep right away. Instead, the room smelled off, and the king bed had just two extremely stiff pillows with plastic still inside them. The sheets had orange-red stains, and the remote was broken. When I tried explaining something, the attendant kept cutting me off, asking, “everything ok sir,” and looking at me like I should stop complaining because it was 11:30 PM. Then he gave us a used sheet that smelled like women's hair. It was nowhere near freshly laundered. It wasn't folded laundry, it looked pulled from an old stash of soiled sheets. There were stains on the dirty sheets, bugs and roaches on the walls, and flies in the bathroom. We had no hot water, and the wall outlet for charging my phone didn't work. Such a mess. I'm so upset I didn't take pictures.
