Our room was clean and tidy, with a den, a large master bedroom, and a private bath. It had lots of trinkets and antique decorations, including a throne for a king. Breakfast was pretty good, with eggs, sausage, toast, and so on. It's a beautiful Victorian B&B in a small town, and the owners were very nice and welcoming. The town was tiny, and nothing was open for dinner when we arrived, so we drove about 12mi to Littleton. It's a great little town with a very good Thai Food Place. The Lion and the Rose is a great place to stay when passing through.

Chris and Roger were amazing, friendly hosts. We booked the Egyptian Room and felt like royalty. It was the only room with a private deck, and it had a two-person hot tub that was so relaxing after a night of dancing. Breakfast was delicious stuffed French toast with fresh fruit. I'd highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to try one. You won't be disappointed, and we'll definitely be back!

We had a fabulous vacation stay. Chris and her husband were so kind and friendly, and the Egyptian Room was out of this world. We loved it so much that we're going back at the end of October.

The owners were so sweet and welcoming, and the house is gorgeous, an antique victorian with its history and old pictures of previous owners and their familys on the walls. Everything but the sleeping quarters has been kept in its original form. We stayed in the King Tut room for two nights in February 2013, and I can't wait to return. The room was gorgeous and very clean, with a California King Bed and a beautiful two-person jacuzzi overlooking the mountains through the windows. The shower and jaccuzi tub were clean too. Breakfast was great, with cooked meals including eggs, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, and more, not a cheap continental breakfast. Highly, highly reccomend it. You won't regret it. I'll never stay in a hotel or motel again when visiting the White Mountains.

The accommodations nearer the White Mountains were all booked, but we were glad to find The Lion and the Rose. We liked the creative decor and welcoming service. After mountain biking in the area, the jacuzzi in the Egyptian room was a treat for our tired legs.
