I spent a week here to ski Whitefish, and this was the best Best Western stay I’ve had. The staff were friendly and wonderful, especially the man in charge of breakfast, who was my favorite. I used the hot tub every day. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available around the clock, and there was laundry on site. I’ll likely stay here whenever we visit in the future.

We ended up staying for four extra days because of the weather, after our first three days, and they treated us fantastically. There’s a shuttle, but the free SNOW bus out back was even better, taking us around town and to the ski resort. The hotel is a mile from the train station and easy to reach by bus. Just know the SNOW bus’s last pickup at the station is at 10:30 p.m., so you can still get a free ride to the hotel.

The room had a strange odor, but it was okay for one night, and the hotel itself was decent. The low rating is about the service. I came to check in around 5 p.m. on October 2nd and said hi, but the woman shushed me with her fingers and told me to “just hold on” while she finished texting and took her medication. Then she asked what I wanted as if I was the problem. She was rude whenever I asked something, spent most of her time on her phone, and basically didn’t do her job.

The staff were really helpful, and breakfast was good. It’s also very close to the ski resort. We had a great stay.

The plumbing was questionable during my most recent stay, but otherwise this is quite a nice choice. It’s toward the higher end of BW hotels, which I’ve been pretty disappointed with lately.
