Holiday Inn Express Hotel Suites Wichita Falls

We were just passing through for one night after a Southwest vacation, and the stay went really well even with the hotel in the middle of a renovation. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was hot and fresh, and the dining area was clean. Would recommend.

The breakfast is a highlight here, especially the delicious Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, which you don’t usually get at other hotels. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is incredibly clean, and they provide good quality Dove shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Highly recommended!

On Wednesday, March 18, I checked in and found a big cockroach in my room. I killed it and called downstairs. They asked whether I wanted another room, but I didn’t see why I should move when there might be bugs elsewhere too. I went down to check out, pretty unhappy. They said they couldn’t refund me because I’d booked through someone else. The taller woman who checked me in was polite, but the shorter woman at checkout wasn’t as friendly. She said she didn’t have the number to call about a refund. I came back the next morning, and the nice woman gave me the number. Get the IHG app so you don’t have to go through this. I’d never had a problem with Holiday Inn Express before. Delta Place was amazing, and there were no bugs.

The breakfast was the best we had during our five weeks travelling through the USA. There was cereal, a fully cooked breakfast, toast, fruit, muffins, and cinnamon buns. We had a renovated room that was tasteful and spotless, with a pleasant view over the lake at the rear. The renovation caused very little disruption, and I’d be fine staying here while the work continues. Once it’s finished, this place will be a gem. It was great value, and we’d stay again. The only snag was finding the entrance road from the west, but Apple CarPlay sorted that out.
