Residence Inn by Marriott Wichita Falls

Veronica clearly cares about making guests feel welcome and doing her part to provide great service. Thank you, Veronica! The place was immaculate, and everything looked brand new. Cleanliness and comfort are what I look for when reading reviews, and this Marriott location delivered on both. Some noise from other guests or traffic, or a staff member having a rough day, can happen anywhere. For me, those things matter less when the bed and bathroom are clean and comfortable. This stay was beyond fantastic, more than five stars for me. 💕

The only things I can complain about are the lousy shower soap and how slippery the shower is. Otherwise, it’s a very nice hotel, and the photos here do it justice. Trevor checked me in, gave me the pool table supplies, and answered all my questions. Christina was just as nice and professional, and she helped with my questions too. When we travel to Wichita Falls, I’ll tell my boss to book here and nowhere else.

I chose this hotel for its location instead of the Delta, and regretted it. The first room was clean but smelled overwhelmingly of marijuana. I waited to make sure I wasn’t imagining it, then asked to move. The man at the desk was friendly and apologized. In the new room, the Wi-Fi didn’t work while I was trying to get some work done. Christina spent more than ten minutes walking me through steps I’d already tried, speaking to me like a child. Then she got frustrated and mentioned technical support, explaining there’d been a power outage that damaged the equipment. I wish I’d known that before losing over 15 minutes. I needed Wi-Fi, so I asked for a refund and said I’d move hotels. She said a manager’s approval was required, but the manager wasn’t there. When I went down, she refunded me rudely and tossed the receipt at me without a word. Never again.

I left a day early because the problems during my stay weren’t getting fixed, but I was still charged for that extra night. The front desk worker said she’d checked me out and would email the receipt, yet I apparently wasn’t checked out in the system. I didn’t get the receipt until the trip was meant to end. When I called, they kept saying they were working on it, but never resolved it. I’m very frustrated with the poor service throughout. Housekeeping never came despite several requests, and the empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in my room stayed that way. The gym was over 80 degrees because the air conditioning didn’t seem to work, even though it wasn’t that hot outside. I reported it several times, but nothing changed. The hotel looks nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
