The clean rooms and mostly friendly, helpful staff were the good parts of my stay. One evening front desk employee was rather curt, which felt out of step with the rest of the service. I travel to Wichita often for work, but this was my first visit to this Courtyard on Webb Rd. Renovations were underway, and the gym was closed. The app had mentioned the work after I booked, but I didn’t see that until I’d arrived. Construction staff were using the elevators, too, so getting around could take extra time. My biggest concern was security. My company car was stolen overnight from the lot, despite being parked as close to the front door as possible. The hotel has no exterior cameras, so there was no footage to check. I’m not sure the area is the best, and this was a major disappointment future guests should know about. The cleanliness and most of the service were decent, but the renovation hassles and security issue would make me think twice about returning.

The room was dirty, and I was assigned the first floor despite asking for a balcony. The pool and fitness room were closed without warning. I was told the fees would be refunded, but that still hasn’t happened. I was visiting for my son’s doctor appointment and had booked with two free nights because money was tight. Instead, I was charged a $40 deposit and two separate $70 amounts, then handed a $24 receipt that didn’t make sense. No one could clearly explain the charges. The whole experience felt very unprofessional.

The staff and room were both great, but the renovation work ruined the stay for me. I was woken by banging and construction before 8 a.m. after getting in and going to bed around 2. The app didn’t mention the work anywhere that I saw. If I’d known before booking, I would’ve chosen another hotel, and the experience might have gone better.

Construction started waking me at 6:30 in the morning, and nobody seemed to care. The whole place felt dirty, neglected, and dated, with stains all over. The furniture was old, the TV remotes didn’t work, and every room smelled like smoke. Glad I won’t be back.

We arrived a bit late, but the front desk was expecting us. We had two clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a good night’s sleep. I’d stay here again.
