Spark by Hilton Wichita East

Work sometimes sends me to hotels I’d rather not end up in, but this one and its staff were beyond professional. Terrie was especially responsive to my needs and questions. The room was nice and the place smelled great. If I travel this way again, I’ll make sure to stay at Spark by Hilton.

The location worked well, close to the mall as well as plenty of restaurants and stores, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful. My room had a comfortable bed and pillows, plus a microwave and mini fridge. It was an average-sized room. I missed having an ice tray and coffee maker, things I’d normally expect at most hotels. The lobby is very small. I was on the ground floor in Room 109, so opening the window didn’t feel practical because people could easily see in. I also didn’t care for the sink being outside the bathroom, and the bathroom itself felt cramped.

For a night or two with family, this was a great find. The rooms were very clean, updated, and looked just like the pictures. Breakfast was modest, though I appreciated having yogurt and hard boiled eggs along with the carbs. The sink sits outside the shower and toilet, with a door between them, which matters if some people are up early while others want to sleep in. There isn’t much of a lobby, so it wouldn’t work well as a team hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay.

Terrie at the front desk was there to help with whatever we had questions about. Everyone was friendly, helpful, communicative, and really nice to my kids. There was a mix-up over the late checkout fee, but they understood and we worked it out. We’ll definitely come back!
