I picked this hotel for a Valentine's surprise, and it was embarrassing. My guest was unhappy too. The room felt old and worn: mold in the shower, an overused bed covering, a toilet that wouldn't flush properly, a door that wouldn't lock right, awful carpet, noisy mini fridge, curtains that didn't block the light, and an outdated TV. The elevator had no light, and breakfast was horrible. Customer service was a major disappointment. The woman checking us in was awful, with no personality, and dressed casually. The owners live at the hotel and dressed very casually too. They made me feel unimportant. The door claimed an 8.1 out of 10 rating, but my experience was the opposite. Everything needs updating.

Check-in was easy, though the bathroom paint was peeling. The chocolate muffins at breakfast were so hard they could've killed Goliath. I brought one to the checkout counter to tell the man, but he seemed not to understand me, and I couldn't understand a word he said either.

The rooms were clean, and the front desk staff were very pleasant. I travel all the time and am a Wyndam Rewards member, so the $100 deposit surprised me. They do refund it after checkout as long as there hasn't been any damage.

This was a genuinely bad stay. There wasn't a first aid kit, the elevator light was out, the pool was disgusting, and the breakfast was awful. The phone in the room wasn't connected, and staff wouldn't fix it. The woman who checked me in was curt and unkind, and whenever we went to the front desk there were no employees around.
