Super 8 Motel - Wichita/West/Airport

Nothing special, and I'd probably try somewhere else next time. It was a little above average, with the basics covered: good Wi-Fi, a fridge, and a microwave. We skipped breakfast except for grabbing a couple of things to take with us. Nothing fancy.

I was only here overnight for work, and won't come back. The upstairs smelled bad, the carpet was stained, and the cleaning looked pretty careless. It felt like a very cheap Super 8. Even the bathroom lights didn't work, and the room still looked only half cleaned, with hair left in the corners. A little more attention, maybe 10 extra minutes, would've helped.

We stayed on 10/07/25, and this was an awful experience. The room door was missing parts and wouldn't latch right, the bathroom was disgusting, the paint looked slopped onto the wall, and there were no bedside lamps. Upstairs smelled of weed and cigarettes despite the no-smoking policy. Outside our window, a car looked broken down, with rugs and parts scattered in the lot. There was no screen or other protection at the window, so I was glad I didn't have kids with me, since they could have wandered right out. Breakfast was nearly nonexistent: one biscuit, about two sausages, and a little cereal. Other equipment was marked out of order, but I tested it because of my mechanical background and it worked. They just didn't feel like making the batter, which seemed lazy. Staff weren't very friendly either. I could go on, but this doesn't feel safe for a single woman or a family. Stay far away.

The smell hit us as soon as we entered this older place. Customer service was poor, and we were told there was a hot tub, which turned out to be a lie. It was the weekend, and according to the front desk woman, the manager was only there on weekdays and didn't answer his phone on his days off, so we couldn't get a refund. The tub in the room didn't even have a plug. I would've stayed with family and saved my money if I'd known. I don't see what's kid-friendly about it. Save your money and go elsewhere. 😞
