WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Wichita

I’ve traveled all over the US for work, and WaterWalk is the best hotel, honestly. The full kitchen and two-bedroom suite were amazing. I stayed for two days and could make my own meals. The cleanliness was unmatched, and it was quiet. I liked the mix of long- and short-term rentals, with no kids running around making noise. The price was reasonable, and I didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Wichita.

After nearly five years as residents without any problems, my family and I have now been given notice to leave, with no explanation beyond the owners deciding not to renew our lease. Our rent was always paid on time. This is especially hard while my daughter is battling cancer, though we’re staying optimistic and trusting that better opportunities are ahead. I changed my rating from five stars to one. The property has changed a lot, including losing its last two managers within two years, and the overall quality has gone downhill. Be careful about trying to make this place your home.

The fitness center had more equipment than you usually find at a hotel, and service was great. We were there with our kids, and the three-bedroom setup worked really well for a family. Our room was clean and practical for what we needed on a one-night stay, but it looked worn, with a lot of poor repairs. That wasn’t a dealbreaker for us, though it’s worth knowing if that kind of thing bothers you. We’d stay again.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the coffee maker in the lobby is top notch. What I appreciate most is the staff. They make you feel comfortable, treat you like family in a good way, and are willing to go above and beyond to make the stay great.
