Residence Inn by Marriott Wichita East At Plazzio

The fridge made a loud ringing sound that made it hard to sleep, and the staff seemed a bit untrained. After my first night, housekeeping knocked even though I had the do not disturb sign up, then the manager called to ask when I was checking out. My booking was for two nights, but they said the reservation was wrong in their system. I was trying to catch up on sleep after a long day, so that was frustrating. It felt like a bad excuse for waking me. The hotel itself was decent and the accommodations were fine. This was the worst experience I’ve had at a Marriott branded hotel, which surprised me, but I guess I’ll take it.

The pool and commons areas are nicely furnished, and I’ve found the place clean, convenient, and comfortable. The front desk staff have been courteous and have gone above and beyond to accommodate me, which means a lot since I’m disabled. I’ve stayed at some of Wichita’s so-called high-end hotels, but Residence Inn East is now my go-to. It’s become my favorite place to stay here.

The front desk host seemed like I was interrupting whatever was happening in the back office, unlike most of the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. Still, the rooms were clean and stocked, and breakfast was good and hot. It was a nice place to stay. I’d recommend it and stay again.

There are lots of new restaurants nearby, and the front desk staff were friendly and helped sort out a billing issue. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel was so quiet that I slept extremely well. Breakfast was average, but perfectly fine. I had a great stay and will come back.
