Extended Stay America Select Suites - Wichita - North

The location is great for my work, which is far from home, and the room is decent for the nightly price. It’s a functional space, nothing fancy. As for service, only two front desk associates are good people. Dealing with the rest of the staff has been incredibly stressful and has made the stay unpleasant overall. They can come into your room whenever they want, which invades your privacy.

The woman who checked me in was very nice, and that’s about the only reason I’m giving one star. Otherwise I’d give zero. I paid $130 for one night in the middle of the week, and this place was dirtier than Motel 6. I expected subpar, but they still managed to lower the bar. There was no shampoo or anything when I arrived. The walls were covered in spit and boogers, the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in weeks, and I could barely trust the bed. For what I paid for one bed for one night, the room should have been cleaner. I’ll attach photos to show how disgusting it was.

The area is great, but I couldn’t sleep for more than an hour at a time, and I didn’t want to breathe in other people’s smoke. Even the nonsmoking rooms were filled with marijuana smoke, and no quiet hours seemed to be enforced. I kept waking up to stomping, slamming, yelling, and smoke drifting in. If you want normal air or a decent night’s sleep, try somewhere else. In response to the reply: the fourth floor is the smoking floor. The bot answering reviews doesn’t even know how the business operates. In 30 seconds on Google you can learn more than the company seems to know about how the property is set up.

The whole staff were the most professional and courteous I’ve come across in my 65 years. General Manager, Tarues, is an awesome person and the reason this hotel is such a pleasure to stay at.
