Courtyard Wichita East

The room was dirty, and I was assigned the first floor despite asking for a balcony. The pool and fitness room were closed without warning. I was told the fees would be refunded, but that still hasn’t happened. I was visiting for my son’s doctor appointment and had booked with two free nights because money was tight. Instead, I was charged a $40 deposit and two separate $70 amounts, then handed a $24 receipt that didn’t make sense. No one could clearly explain the charges. The whole experience felt very unprofessional.

The staff and room were both great, but the renovation work ruined the stay for me. I was woken by banging and construction before 8 a.m. after getting in and going to bed around 2. The app didn’t mention the work anywhere that I saw. If I’d known before booking, I would’ve chosen another hotel, and the experience might have gone better.

Construction started waking me at 6:30 in the morning, and nobody seemed to care. The whole place felt dirty, neglected, and dated, with stains all over. The furniture was old, the TV remotes didn’t work, and every room smelled like smoke. Glad I won’t be back.

We arrived a bit late, but the front desk was expecting us. We had two clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a good night’s sleep. I’d stay here again.
