Comfort Inn Wichita East

We only stayed one night and had a wonderful time. The room and lobby were very clean, the beds were so soft, and the staff were friendly when we checked in late. I forgot to take pictures. One screw came out of the door handle, but it wasn't a big deal, so I left maintenance a note. We tried to check in early, but my dad said a staff member was rude to him, so we went out to eat and checked in after work instead. I'd definitely stay here again.

The staff were friendly and treated me well, and I had a great stay otherwise. The guests upstairs sounded like kids jumping and banging around, with a lot of screaming. It was very hard to sleep with all that noise.

We just needed an affordable place to sleep overnight, and I think we got the worst room because we had a dog. The shower rod was completely rusty, the windows were dirty, and the HVAC system blocked the view. Maybe there are better rooms. I was glad to leave.

They say the hotel is smoke-free, but we could smell vape in the hallway. The showerhead had green mold. I asked the front desk to move us to another unit, but instead he sent a maintenance woman to replace the showerhead. I think he didn't move us because the other rooms may be moldy too. I couldn't relax knowing I might be breathing moldy air, and I didn't want to shower because I worried the water pipes might be moldy as well. The hot tub was closed and out of service, and the front desk service was bare minimum. We left a night early for another nearby hotel. One of our shoes fell, and they left it outside the building like trash. It may have been worthless to them, but that didn't feel like nice treatment. There are plenty of other hotels around. Marriott hotels seem much better and only a few bucks more. The breakfast service was decent.
