Beau Rivage Beach Resort

The room was very comfortable for our group of three men over 6'3, a plus-size mom, and a slim-thick sister. We had two queen beds and a queen pullout couch, plus a stove, full-size fridge, cutlery, plates, bowls, pans, and a big dining table, everything we needed for a frugal stay. We were there for an AAU basketball tournament, and the kids had their PS5, which worked out well since it rained most of the weekend. We managed a quick walk to the nearby boardwalk for a few games and snacks. Walgreens, Wawa, lots of food options, and even an Acme were super close. The place was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful when needed, and the beach is literally a few steps away.

The view from the fourth floor is amazing. My family and I rented two B Ocean View and one D 3 Room Efficiency last week at the Beau Rivage Wildwood Crest NJ, and had a great experience. The rooms were very large and clean, and I’m so glad we stayed. I spent time with my family and the stay was amazing. We’ll definitely be back next summer, and I recommend it.

The kitchenette was well stocked with basics, and the bathroom had decent space, good water pressure, and fresh towels were always available. The rooms were clean and laid out well, with a separate bedroom that gave us privacy. The location was great, but I’d have slept better with blackout curtains. The new bed was extremely stiff, so sensitive sleepers may want to bring a comfortable topper and something to block the light. The bedroom wasn’t vacuumed during our stay, so you may want an electric broom if you don’t want dirt getting into bed. The only outlet for the kitchenette was beneath the smoke detector, and the toaster will likely set it off. The ice machine was broken the whole time, so you may have to spend extra if you need ice. The pool was lovely, but it only opens when the owner or manager is on site. There were no posted hours, and we usually found it closed in the evening when we wanted to relax after nearby attractions. Also, the resort adds a 3% surcharge for payments made without cash. We didn’t know about it when booking, and the notice comes in an email that’s easy to miss.

The view of the beach and the five-minute walk to it were the good parts. The rest made for a stressful week, not a vacation, and I’m glad to be home. The man at the motel yelled at me to move my car even though I was parked within the lines. He was unkind and wouldn’t apologize when my husband came down to check whether I’d parked wrong. I had parked correctly. My husband defended me and said the man should provide better customer service, but he kept yelling and said he wouldn’t apologize. That’s not the kind of treatment I wanted while paying for a July 4th getaway with my three kids and the nanny, hoping to relax and enjoy the time together. The shower water was yellow, and I have pictures. The coffee pot smelled old and unclean, so I couldn’t even have a good cup in the morning.
