Rambler Motel & Apartments

A simple, basic room is all you need for a shore trip, and they have other options too, including efficiencies. It brought back memories of the old-fashioned hotels and motels at the shore, which are hard to find these days. Great pool, friendly staff, and a great location!

Sophia is a gem and very accommodating, and the rooms are really clean. My family has been coming here for 19 years with my sister’s family, and one year some of our family from Ohio joined us too. We’ve rented every room except one when everyone could make it. I think there were 45 of us altogether. It’s a short walk to the beach and Sunset Lake.

You can get to Sunset Lake even faster, where there are boat and kayak rentals. It’s also right across from the firehouse, where local PD park while waiting for calls, so the area feels very safe. The FD pulls out quietly, so that’s no worry either. Sofia was great, and our efficiency suite was clean and worth every penny. The pool was well maintained and had a great little area for younger kids. It’s a short walk to the ocean and bike rentals. We absolutely loved it here and will be back next year and for many years to come!

The lobby and game room were the nicest part of our stay, and we enjoyed the theme and room decor. The sheets on one bed had stains on the pillow and bedding that I could scratch off with my nail. Gross. It seemed like they hadn’t been washed between guests. The conditioner was out, and I had to request it three times during our 24-hour stay, even though they said they’d bring it right away. This motel is too small to be that busy. I spent over $100 for a dirty room and wasn’t impressed. We didn’t get to try the pool. The blood orange tea is a must.
