Granada Ocean Resort

Every room is a suite, with a separate bedroom, sofa, kitchenette, and full-size refrigerator, and the prices are fantastic. The owners are very accommodating. There’s a porch right on the beach, plus several decks and patios with tables and plenty of seating. Near the pool, a covered deck has grills and a Blackstone. Wildwood’s best hidden gem.

The location is pretty far down the Crest, so we had to drive almost everywhere, but we enjoyed the quiet setting and the shorter walk to the ocean. Our room seemed newly updated, and the kitchenette and its appliances all worked. There were some pots and pans. The grilling area was clean, with working grills and even a sink for cleanup. In the courtyard, we found tables and chairs for eating outside, plus games like giant Jenga and giant Connect Four. The pool faces the beach at the front of the hotel, which was a nice change from looking at a parking lot.

For our fortieth wedding anniversary in October 2025, we stayed at The Granada and really enjoyed the porch overlooking the ocean. It’s a quaint motel, and the owners were so kind. I think they even made sure we got beautiful sunny weather.

It’s a great location, and the hotel has that old-fashioned motel feel, right down to the actual keys for the doors. Some things have been upgraded, like the nice refrigerators, but the bathrooms are still somewhat dated. The bedroom window AC is supposed to cool both rooms, but with the bedroom door shut, the air doesn’t reach the kitchen, bathroom, or sitting area. That sitting area has the pullout bed for another guest.
