Olympic Island Beach Resort

The parking was terrible. The regular spots are tiny, and unless you have a small car, don't take the garage because getting out is difficult. There are cameras everywhere and lots of signs with rules. You can't play music unless it's through headphones. The room was decent sized, the beds weren't too bad, and the fridge was nice. The microwave was tiny and slid around when we used it, while the stovetop and bathroom were really outdated. There was no bathroom fan, despite six people being allowed in the room. The pool wasn't very clean and was a little damaged. It's okay for a short stay if you can put up with it, but it's not great.

We've been going to Olympic Beach Resort every year for the past 10 years, and it feels like home. Dave is wonderful. He knows my family by name and always makes us feel welcome. The cleaning staff work hard to keep both rooms and common areas spotless. It's an easy walk to the boardwalk, with a beautiful beach view, a pool for kids and adults, and two grills to use. Every room has a kitchenette, so you can cook or eat at the restaurant right below the resort. I also appreciate the no-smoking and no-music rule by the pool. It keeps things relaxing for everyone, and I'm glad the rules are respected now because one person can ruin it for others. It's a perfect spot for a quick family getaway, and we look forward to coming back every year.

The price was cheap, and the heated pool was nice for what you pay. The shower leaked, though. It was okay.

For my first visit, I wasn't sure what to expect at such a reasonable price, but the management was excellent. The rooms were well kept, the cleaning staff were kind, and the other guests were kind too. The ocean view was picture perfect, and the restaurant staff were top notch. I appreciated the rules against playing radios by the pool and smoking on the balcony, even though I'm a smoker. It was just right for my wife and me.
